Extra product content
Add any type of additional content to your product details pages with the "extra product content" tool.
Features include:
- add any kind of content, including dynamic content from apps like FAQ, testimonials, gallery, slideshow and more, or any kind of normal content, including video.
- choice of locations on the page to display the extra content
- add content which automatically shows on all product pages
- each product can also have its own collection of extra content
- ideal for supporting advertising campaigns
The extra product content tool is available on the Advanced plan.
Add extra content to *ALL* product pages
- Ensure you're on the Advanced plan.
- In the shop app settings page, go to the "Product details pages" tab, scroll down to the Extra product page content section and open the content manager.
- In the panel that opens, add placeholders for your content sections.
- The "Edit" link will open the full page editor in a new browser tab. Add your content using the content block menu, then save and close the tab when you're finished editing.
- Back in the Extra product content section, toggle the status of your section from "Offline" to "Live" to start showing your content on all product pages.
Add extra content to *individual* product pages
- Ensure you're on the Advanced plan.
- In the manage products section of the shop app, edit any product and go to the "Description" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Extra product content" section and add placeholders for your content sections.
- The "Edit" link will open the full page editor in a new browser tab. Add your content using the content block menu, then save and close the tab when you're finished editing.
- Back in the Extra product content section, toggle the status of your section from "Offline" to "Live" to start showing your content on the product page.
Tips
- Use the Edit link (step 4) to return at any time to make further changes.
- You can temporarily hide extra content by toggling the Live/Offline status instead of deleting it and having to recreate it later.
- If you add both shop-wide and individual product page content and they're set to display in the same location, the individual content will display above the shop-wide content.
